“Storm, I see you have been anticipating my call.” The voice on the other side of the call said.
“Please, just tell me where she is. I'll give you anything you want.” I had become desperate and it was obvious. I didn't care anymore, I would beg and grovel if I had to just to make sure that Hazel was okay.
“Now you sound like a good boy.” The person gave an evil laugh. The laugh sounded familiar, but I struggled to know why. “Look, your girlfriend is safe. I might keep her with me for a while. In the meantime, I want you to start putting together all your assets. That is what it might cost you to have your lady back. If you're lucky, you will get her back in one piece. You're lucky you have great taste, she is much too precious to kill.” And then he hung up.
