Beauty p.o.v
"How you been?" I asked.
"Good I could do better," My mama said.
"So why did you wanna meet up?" I asked.
Kai grabbed my hand and squeezed it. He got out of jail because the police officers who were arresting him didn't tell him his rights.
"Its about your daddy," She said.
"What about him?" I asked.
She sighed before she started talking.
"He's dying Beauty and I can't keep paying his medical bills," She said.
I scoffed. No this b***h didn't.
"Seems like a you problem since you're his wife," I said.
"Beauty, please, I need your help," She said.
"Really?" I said. My anger started to rise. I couldn't believe this selfish b***h. "You kicked me out when I was pregnant. I was only 17. Your fuckin daughter. Me. And now you want money? Fuckin' unbelievable," I said
"I'm sorry Beauty, but look I heard that you are with some big d-"
"No you ain't hear s**t," I said cutting her off.
I was livid at this point. I can't believe she called me for some damn money for some man she let beat on her kids. Then she thinks just because I'm with Kai that I'm rich as f**k.
"Look just because I'm with someone who makes money doesn't mean I'm going to take the money from them. And I can't believe you, I actually thought you wanted to see how I was doing or see your grandkids. You have seven grandkids, three from me, three from Bambi, and one from Blue. You know what I'm out," I said.
I got up and left the restaurant, Kai was behind me. He opened my door for me and I got in. When I was in the car he jogged on his side and got in.
"Maybe you should've heard her out baby," Kai said.
"You're not serious are you," I said.
"I'm just sayin', I lost my parents and I would do anything to get them back. Me and my parents were close bae, I know you ain't have that with yours, but ya dad dying don't be stubborn because of the past," he said.
I tried to listen to Kai I really did. But there was some things that happened in that house that he did not know about and would never know. I still had scars to this day of the beatings I had to go through.
"You don't understand Kai," I told him.
"Make me understand then Beauty," he said.
"I can't," I said.
