Alpha’s Vampire Mate

Chapter 1

Rose's POV: 

"Roselynn Grace! You know the law states-"

"That I must marry before my 101st birthday, yes Mother Queen, I know. That doesn't mean I like it. And forcing me to take a chosen before then is unthinkable. I won't do it!" I shout at my mother.

"Rose, be reasonable, you're 100 years old and unmated. Your mother and I would like to retire before you 101st birthday. Please give us this one wish," my father pleads.

"Yes, Father King. On one condition," I say.

"Whatever it is, I'm sure we can manage," my mother says.

"Then give me until the next Blue moon to find my Fated Mate. That's all I'm asking," I plead.

"That's three months away! That's too much time! Your father and I would like to retire by the next full moon!" My mother screamed at me.

"Then I guess you're not retiring. I am not taking a chosen Mate when my Fated Mate is probably looking for me!" I shout at my mother.

"Honey, You're well past the age of being able to sense your mate, what if he's taken a chosen?" my mother asks.

I don't let her finish and walk off to my room, she won't listen to anything I say right now. Her and my dad got lucky to have been able to find each other a few days after they came of age. 

I guess I'm a little late to introduce myself. My name is Roselynn Grace Briar. I'm a 100 year old vampire princess. I have long ivory colored hair, tan skin, which is abnormal for vampires, blood red eyes with little flecks of gold, the royal family has pure gold eyes my eyes will turn gold once I've found my mate. I'm the only child to the king and queen, meaning I'm also the only heir. My family has been ruling for about three centuries, I guess no one was brave enough to overthrow us, oh well, doesn't bother me. Anyway, I have yet to find my Fated Mate, or my beloved as us vampires call our perfect other half, and my parents are rushing me to either find him or take a chosen. I don't want to take a chosen, and I definitely don't want to have an arranged marriage with someone from either my kingdom here in Canada or from another kingdom from somewhere else. I'm my own person and I am going to make my own choices, even if that means that I become queen without a mate/beloved. I will rule my people while searching for my beloved if I have to.
