The rest of that afternoon flew by what with our need to decorate the new shelf display in the front window, the rest of the prep for the event the next day, and a really good flow of customers. I mostly helped lug books and organize the shelves once they were in the window, library-style with their short ends facing the window.
Marcus and I modified the display plan a little and added a couple of chairs and a small table in the opposite corner from the dogs’ beds so that people could really sit and read in the window if they so wished. Besides, we needed to get more furniture off the floor to make room for construction, so it was a good use of space.
