MALIA’S POV

I opened my eyes weakly a I felt my whole body being under some kind of restraints. I felt so weak like I almost always felt after every training with Daryl but a lot worse.

What is happening to me, why can’t I move? I tied to wiggle as eyes began to adjust to the darkness, I saw that my hands were tied behind me and my legs were tied to. I was all alone in a cold dark room.

“Hello!”

My voice echoed and I looked around in terror.

“Somebody help me! I’m down here!”

I heard nothing and I sighed. I guess no one is here. I tried to remember how I got here on the first place and that was when I remembered the evil men who had killed one of their own. I guess they finally caught me

If they killed one of their own, does that mean they would kill me too?

I began to hear footsteps, looks like someone was finally coming for me. I closed my eyes and pretended to still be asleep.

“Come on, I heard you. You don’t have to pretend to still be asleep.” I heard the door open and his feet free nearer.

He suddenly grabbed my hair and hoisted me up. I could not help but wiggle. I had no arms or feet to defend myself.

“Who are you and who are you working for?” He aske and I stared at him angrily as I spat in his face.

“Let me go, you monster!”

“And why would I want to go that?”

“I know nothing of what you have asked me.”

“Even who you are?”

“My name is Lia.”

“So you want to tell me, Lia, that you jay happened to be playing in the forest and you stumbled upon us?”

“That is exactly what had happened.”

“And you want me to believe that?” he asked and then he paused. Not too long after, two men came in with whips and began to hear me.

“Beat her until she is ready to tell us who she is and who she works for. Let me know when she is ready to talk.” He said and walked away.

“The Delta has made a command and we must follow. If you want to be spared, tell us what we need to know.” One of the men said and when Thu saw that I had nothing to say, they began to whip me angrily and I created i pain as the pain hit worse with each whip.

I blacked out a couple of times but they would always find new ways to torture me.

That kept on for days and after a while, the man who was called the delay but who I refer to as the devil arrived again.

“So, I hear you have been acting tough and don’t want to talk.”

“That is because there ready is nothing to say.”

“Tell me the truth that you were not debt by the Alpha’s cousins.”

“I don ‘t even know who the Alpha is. How would I be working with his brother against him?”

“That is for you to answer. I will give you some more data to decide of you want to stay alive or fight for a lost cause. Don’t give her any food or water till I say so.”

“Yes.” The men us as he walked away again.

Daryl would be so worried right now. Of only I can do that thing that he does with his mind, then I would be able to let him know where I was bit I had no wolf so I cannot mind link him. I was no longer restrained but I was still kept in a cell

What do I do? Whatever I do, I cannot afford to lead the men back to Daryl or our hideout so I have to keep my mouth shut and hope that Daryl will find me and save me eventually hit after three days, I was beginning to lose hope.

Why wasn’t he coming? Could they have caught him too or maybe something terrible happened to him.

My stomach rumbled loudly but I knew there was no food coming into my stomach so I laid on the floor and stared into nothing.

I have to find a way to escape.

I could hear voices outside, a lot of them which means there must be a lot of them around and now, I see why I should behave paid more attention to Daryl’s teachings.

I was going to make plans to wonder when the guard would come again. They haven’t been coming since there was no reason to now.

I sighed. Who knew something like that was waiting for my secluded life and now, here I was where Daryl may never be able to find me. I was devastated.

I could hear the warriors arguing amongst themselves and wondered how I could manage to go escape

If I ever escape this, I will always listen to Daryl and take his trainings more serious like my life depends on it.

I cried bitterly as I wonder if my life was going to end there and then I heard the devil’s footsteps again and when he entered the room. I sat up.

“Ready to talk now.”

“I am Lia and I know nothing of what you talk about.”

“Liar!” he said and a slap landed right on my right cheek.”

“What kind of a coward dares to hit a woman? You should be ashamed of yourself.”

“I will gladly do you a favour of helping you keep your mouth shut if you don’t do that yourself,” he retorted angrily and I gasped in shock.

I cannot pick a fight with him. He is bigger, taller and stronger. It will be so easy for him to crush me in my state.

Yes, I cannot believe he actually slapped me. If only I was strong enough to return the favour but definitely something worse would await me if I did anything stupid.

“I guess I cannot help you. You have to meet the Alpha as soon as possible!”
