Lyra POV It had been a little more than twenty-four hours since I’d been confined to my room. Without a window, the only way I knew was by keeping track of the meals brought to me. Hours had passed since dinner, so I guessed we were nearing midnight. I frowned at the bucket in the corner, which was no longer filled with water. The acidic scent of urine assaulted my nose, and I buried my face in the pillow to try to cover it up. Of course the assholes wouldn’t let me leave to use the f*****g bathroom.
