Call. That woke me up.
I saw that darkness had reigned on the outside already. After the situation with Knight and I in the living room, we ended up here in his room. I awoke from a deep sleep, and my heart is still palpitating quietly.
Knight is sleeping soundly beside me. With my sleepy eyes, I reached for my phone at the bedside. I saw that it was a call from Erin. My heartbeat increased its rate. This is unusual. Erin would never call me, especially since she knows I'm out with our victim.
