After Linda have left him, it took him a while to summon the energy to rise to his feet again. He started a slow shuffling walk, not sure where he was going to go. He ended up outside of engineering, his sanctuary.
Taking a deep breath and straightening his shoulders, he removed all emotion from his face before entering. He found his two engineering assistants playing a game of dice on his work bench, they quickly stood to attention and saluted him. Wanting to be alone with his thoughts, he dismissed them and told them to return after they had been through the next gate.
