After the final brother had been woken up, Jace found himself scanning the room concern creasing his brow. Philippa and Daniel had left to join the others on the first floor, but a comment Daniel had made rattled in his thoughts. What had Daniel done in that dream that he needed to apologise for?
Two other things bothered him, firstly Philippa’s initial reaction to Ethan. She had ignored him and purposely not looked at him until just before she left with Daniel, when they shook hands. The second thing was Susan’s reaction Abel, the last brother to be woken up. Like Philippa had done with Ethan, Susan was completely ignoring him.
