Jace
After Kade relieved him from bridge duty, Jace headed straight to his cabin. When he arrived, Susan was fast asleep and snoring softly into her pillow. Smiling gently at the sight, he quietly stripped out of his clothing and slid into the bed, snuggling into her and placing his hand on her belly. She didn’t even stir as he kissed her shoulder. Resting his head on his pillow, it took seconds for him to join her in slumber.
Waking up, Jace stretched his arm across the bed, expecting to find Susan lying next to him. But she wasn’t there. He bolted up in bed, becoming wide awake immediately and scanned the bedroom. She was nowhere to be seen. Jumping up from the bed, he checked the bathroom but that too was empty.
Rushing back to the bedroom, he hastily started dressing ready to go
