She wasn’t sure how long she had slept for, but as her mind awoke from the peaceful abyss, she became aware of a weight over her preventing her from moving. She was laid on her side, with a mass against her back and a draft blowing across her neck. Looking towards her feet, she noticed an arm draped over her waist and a hand resting on her currently non-existent baby bump. Jace!
Smiling to herself, she gently lifted the arm off her, making Jace moan behind her as he tried to snuggle in closer. She eventually managed to free herself and leave the bed, heading to the bathroom for a much-needed release of fluids.
When she returned to the bedroom, Jace was sitting up in bed with the sheets pulled up to his waist and his bare muscular torso on full display.
