Night of the Graduation Party

Kaya got off the bed as she pulled my hair into a low side ponytail with the front braid being pulled into it and she put some roller thingys in the hair on my shoulder then she started doing my eyebrows, eyeshadow, eyelashes, then my lips spraying something on my face she grabbed my dress.

"Alright put on your dress while I get myself fixed up and then we can walk outside together." I nod as she takes out the dress and I stand up, Kaya grabs my ponytail gently as I slide the dress up my body.

"Aww, my little sister looks so adorable!"

"Kaya shut up! Don't you have to shower and change? Get out and do that. Shoo!" I say pushing my older sister out of the room as she continued to laugh on her way to her room.

I looked in my closet for some shoes that went with this dress, making a mess in the progress before finding the perfect shoes to wear.

“I left for a couple of minutes. What the hell Bella?” I jumped hearing Kaya’s voice.

"I was looking for some shoes to wear and my room may have gotten a little messy." I sheepishly say, "I'm gonna clean it up before we go downstairs."

"Move over it's gonna take forever for you to fix it by yourself." I was going to retort but she cut me off, "You know I'm right, now scoot your ass over." I could only smile and do what Kaya asked.

In no time at all my room and closet was back to how it was, "Kaya where's my shoes I picked out?" I ask slowly looking around.

"Don't worry slowpoke, I picked them up before you could accidentally throw them back in the black hole you call a closet."

"I don't know whether to thank you or cuss at you."

"Take your damn shoes so we can hurry up downstairs."

'Your telling me to hurry up when you need to zip up your dress, do your hair, and make-up. Make it make sense.'

"Bella I know what you're thinking by the look on your face, and all I have to say is shut up." Kaya said making me laugh.

“Alright, let's get these out of your hair and put your heeled sandals on.” Kaya said moving to hand me my shoes as she took the curler things out of my hair and started doing her stuff and I sat on my bed waiting for her to finish.

I watched as she put her hair half up, twist it down, and twist it around then put a pin in it, it looked like a rose. Then she started doing a silver and a gray smoky eye, not doing anything else, she turned to me and helped me stand up.

“Zip me up, please!”

“On it.” I zipped up her metallic silver spaghetti strap split maxi dress. We gave each other one final look before nodding and walking out and down the stairs.

There was a bunch of people in our backyard, most of them family and friends, others were probably Mother’s business partners.

I look around to look for my parents and I see Mother talking to a group of people seeing Joey and Beatriz. I bump Kaya, tilt my head over them and she gives me a side-eye glance as we walked over to our Mother.

“Mother.”

“Bella you look lovely, you too Kaya. My two lovely daughters. I would like to introduce a family friend's son and business partner Rowan Adan and his co-workers.”

I look toward the man in front of the group and all I could think was that he was hot. He has short light brown slicked-back hair, ear piercings along with a silver nose piercing, a bunch of tattoos on his neck and arm, he looked even hotter with how his shirt was rolled up to his elbows. He had on a tight blue button-up shirt with a couple of buttons undone to expose his tatted chest and necklaces, and black jeans.

“Hello, your Mother was just telling us more about you. It's good to finally meet you, Belladonna.” he said and gently grabbed my hand and placed a light kiss on the back of my hand.

“The pleasure's mine. I like your tattoos and your nose ring. ” I whispered out still staring at his neck and arms.

He smirked, “Like what you see princess?”

“I said I liked your tattoos and the nose ring. That's it.”

“I'm joking. It’s also a pleasure to meet you as well Kayanna, ” Rowan said nodding respectfully to my older sister, “You guys know Joey and Beatriz, ” Rowan nodding to the two girls. Joey had a light blue lacy corset with high waisted pants, Beatriz wore a light blue thin-strapped satin dress. Aww, they're matching. I wave slightly to them, “Kayanna you know Keith.”

Keith looks like the scariest guy here. He has blond long hair that's put up in a half up and half down ponytail, two scars near his brown eyebrows, slightly tanned skin, a face tattoo, three silver earrings, a black leather gold spiked choker, and two silver chains. He wore a black button-up shirt and black jeans.

Kayanna gave a little smirk, “Yea I remember meeting Keith, I'm glad I got to see you again.” She ended with a wink and he smirked at her.

“Next, meet Kay and Ayana.”, Kay has black short curly hair, chocolate eyes, white skin, a black nose ring, and tattoos scattered around, his most identifiable tattoo is the one on his neck that says ‘kill me softly.’ He wore a red polo shirt and black pants. Ayana had dark brown curly hair, dark chocolate eyes, and chestnut-brown skin. She wore a single sleeve lacy red dress.

“Finally, Trent,” Rowan said pointing at him. Trent had short brown hair, sterling gray eyes, white skin, two-lobe piercings, and had sleeve tattoos. He wore a black shirt and jeans.

“It’s a pleasure to meet you all and thank you for coming.” I say with a slight smile.

“Well now that introductions are out of the way, I'd like to introduce you to his parents and sister. Come on Bella.” I nod, once Mother gets like this there's no fighting her. I turn to look back at Rowan once more and I leave.

Unknown’s POV

“If you answered my questions, to begin with, this wouldn't be a problem. Now answer the question and you inside the party or not.” I calmly said, but I could slowly feel my anger bubbling up to the surface.“I’m in, and if you had waited a moment and not been blowing up my phone every second. I don't know if Rowan and the others are here, my piece is in, you listen in, now shut up and let me do my job.” The male hissed over the phone.“I’m trying to make you don't f**k this up. Whatever Akira just go and don't f**k up.” I calmly say over the phone before hanging up. Your reign is coming to an end Rowan and the Double Dragons.________________________________________________________________________________________________________

Mother led me to two men and two women. One woman had She has long soft brown hair with dark brown eyes. She wore a tan form-fitting dress with slit sleeves. The other one looked familiar to me, she had curly light brown hair, brown eyes pupil outlined with gray, and slightly tanned skin. She wore a light blue satin pull in long sleeve top and a matching pull-in skirt. One of the men was in his late 30’s possibly. He was Asian, I want to guess Japanese. He wore a gray sweater, defining his muscles, and black pants. Finally, the last man, has shoulder-length dark brown wavy hair, brown eyes outlined with gray, brown short beard and mustache, a small tattoo from what I could see from his partially unbuttoned olive green button-up shirt, he wore brown khakis.

“Bella this is the Adan family and their friend Akira.” Mother pointed to each person “The man is Damini Adan, the one in the brown dress is Louella Adan, and finally Destiny Adan.”

“I knew I recognized you! It’s nice to see you again Destiny.” I say excitingly as we hug each other.

“Yea it's nice to see you again. My, how you’ve grown! Congratulations are in order.”

“Thank you, also it’s a pleasure to meet you, Mr. and Mrs. Adan and Akira,” I say sticking my hands to shake theirs.

“Pleasure’s ours, Belladonna.” The Adan’s and Akira talked as my Mother excused herself and walked around in her emerald green satin romper.

“I’m sorry to change the topic, but have you seen Rowan?” Akira asked cutting in.

“Oh, Rowan? Yeah, near the back entrance of the house.” Akira nodded and excused himself.

“Forgive Akira. Rowan just recently fired him, and hearing anything about Rowan he steps out the room." Mr. Adan clarified as we watched Akira enter the house."It's fine, if you guys would excuse me, I'd like to go back to talk to Rowan and his friends." The three of them nodded and I left to go see them.~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~I find the group spread around, and I continue to ask where he was when I'm grabbed by the wrist and spun around.

"I heard the lady of the hour was looking for me, I couldn't let her down." Rowan said with his lightly accented voice and wrapped his arm around my waist, "How can I help you on this fine evening?"

"I wasn't looking for you specifically. I was looking for you and your group, you're awfully cocky to think I was just looking for you.” I say letting myself be twirled and pulled back into his chest.

“Now I wouldn't say that I'm cocky, may be optimistic.” he says with a smirk and I shake my head. I open my mouth to retort, when I heard screaming and cries, I saw people running. I look over to my home and it's on fire, parts of the roof burned and fell to the ground and caught the grass on fire. Then some people in black started climbing over the fences in our backyard.

I feel myself being away from the chaos. I look over to see Rowan pulling me away and the others quickly ran over to us. I wanted to pull away and find my parents and sister, but they probably decided to head to their other homes to get away from this. I have my phone in my bra anyway.

We get in a black 2019 Chevy Tahoe and I'm still trying to wrap my mind around what the f**k just happened.

“Belladonna are you ok?” A voice from behind me asked grabbing my shoulder.

“Yea, I'm good, just confused. What the f**k happened?”

“I don't know. I can't even explain what happened back there. ”

Rowan was beside me on my left side, Kay on my right, the girls in the back, and Keith and Trent in the front. I turned around hearing Ayana speak.

“Are you worried about your family?”

“Yes and no. I know that they each have a place to go in case something happens, but I don't know if they made it out. I'll check in with them later.” I pause to play with my nails, “Thank you guys, you didn't have to take me, but you did, so thank you.”

“Just being generous. Come on this is our house.” Rowan said sliding out and sticking his and out for me to grab. I take it and I see a large white house with a lot of windows, there were a lot of trees and greenery around it. Rowan leads me inside and I walked inside and stop in awe at the decor, “I'm actually surprised. You have a sense of style. And it's kinda nice.”

Rowan shrugged, “ I can't take all the credit, my mom and sister helped me decorate and we do have three other girls living here. If it was just the guys, the house would look extremely different.” I nod and smiled following after him up the stairs. He led me to a room.

“This is the guest bedroom, my room isn't too far, just two doors down. There should extra things around the room, so use anything you'd like. Holler if you need anything. ” I nod and I watch as he walks to his room.

I look around the room, the walls were gray, several large windows and a door. I walk out the door and stand on a balcony overlooking the pool and murky lake in the back. A light breeze passed through and I go back inside.

I look around the room looking for something to wear after my shower.________________________________________________________________________________________________________Rowan’s POV

I was on the phone with Viorica. I had just left Belladonna in the guest bedroom. My phone started buzzing and I see Viorica’s across the screen.

“Bella’s alright?”

“Yes, Viorica, she’s sleeping in the guest bedroom.”

“Thank you, Rowan.” It was silent as I watched Viorica take a deep breath, “I need to ask a favor from you Rowan.”

“It’ll cost you, but sure.”

“Take Bella.” I raised an eyebrow, “She would be safer with you and the others. I just want to make sure my baby girl is ok. Please, Rowan.” I cracked my neck as I thought it over. I would get to spend more time with Bella and have leverage over Viorica for this. Perfect.

“I’ll keep Bella here and keep her safe. Don't worry.”

“I know I'll probably have to owe you for the rest of my life, but I don't care. I just want my daughters safe.” I raised an eyebrow.

“What about Kayanna? Are you not worried about her?”

“Of course I'm worried! You already have Bella with you. I'm working on resources for Kayanna.”

“If Kayanna chooses, she could stay here under my protection.”

Viorica shook her head at my suggestion, “Kayanna is too hard-headed to be in a singular place even with Belladonna, but thank you for the offer. You could come to the house and collect whatever's left.”

I nod and hang up.

Texting my friends I let them know we were going to the Shade’s house. I change and fall asleep.
