Chapter Two ~London~ My dad had the rogue by the scruff of his neck and dragged him to the meeting circle outside. My brown hair moved with the wind. My violet eyes were scared for the rogue. I knew as the Alpha's daughter I had to stay for my father, but honestly death scared me. Even though I grew up knowing the rogues were terrible creatures, it didn't mean I didn't feel bad for them, because I did. "You trespassed onto my territory and you expect me to have mercy. No. You are no better than any other rogue that is made." My mom caught my eyes with hers and stopped my father for a moment. "Hold on sweetheart." Her voice was soft, and light. My dad looked at her confused. My mother walked toward me and turned me around. She was facing me, and her hands were pressed onto my shoulders. She nodded for my father to continue, and I knew he was ready. A scream erupted through the woods and birds flew out of the woods in flocks. I covered my ears and leaned into my mother. She held tight to me. Her soothing words calmed my heart race and she stroked my hair. She knew how hard these things were for me. Moments later my dad walked up, and his arms were around my mother and me. "Sorry you had to hear that." I nodded a reassuring nod and made sure he knew it was alright. "Let’s go inside." We all headed inside the pack house, and I sat next to Waverly. Jarod had his arms around her from behind and he was calming her down as well. Her blond hair was up in a ponytail and she had her bangs down and in her face. Courtney was across the room leaning into Brody. I sighed and sat back in the chair. "Honey, we're going home. Get your sister." My mom's orbs shone into mine and I got up, obeying her request. "Laylee, come on. We're going home." She was in another little girl's room playing dolls. "Okay." She gripped my hand and waved to her friend. We got outside and into the car. My mother and father decided to run in wolf form, so I had to drive home. Logan sat in the passenger seat, and Lott and Lance sat in the back with Laylee. We got to the house, and I set my car keys with all the other keys. I ran up to my room and threw my bag on the floor. I sat on my bed and swung my laptop onto my lap. Logging into it, I saw an email and I opened it. *Congrats! You have been accepted as the waitress. Your uniform will be here waiting, and you start Monday. Thank you! * A smile spread wide on my face. I've been waiting for this email forever. I need a job and save up. Although, I won't be going to college. I'd rather stay with the pack and wait for my mate. I went downstairs to see my parents in the kitchen talking low and quiet. "What's going on?" The snapped their heads my way and my mom put a fake smile on her face. "Nothing sweetheart. We're having a few guests over tonight for dinner. Dress nice." "Oh. Alright." A put a smile on my face and went up to my room. I let my wavy hair down and brushed it. I decided to heighten my violet eyes with a little eye liner and mascara. My cheeks were naturally rosy, so there was no need for blush. I went into my closet and pulled out my nice blue dress that was casual but nice at the same time. I had a big silver belt wrapped under my breasts, and I made sure I had my necklace on. It was the one my Grandpa gave me on my first birthday. A tear slid down my cheek remembering all 4 of my grandparents. I wiped the tear and sniffled in. I looked into the mirror and was proud of my appearance. I wore my nice silver shoes and went downstairs. Voices were coming from a distance, and I was curious as to who was in my house. Logan came by me and he almost knocked me over. "Logan!" I huffed. "Sorry Lon!" I glared towards his direction. I continued going into the living room, and a man, about my age, sat in between two people who I assumed were his parents. "Ah! There you are. London, meet Alpha Louis and Luna Christine." I went over and shook their hands. "It's nice to meet you." I smiled. They were caught up in my eyes. "Her eyes are violet." The Alpha stated. "Yes, we've done research, but nothing comes up. It's just how it is." My father said. "Well, there is only one thing it could mean. But I suppose we'll discuss this later. We should talk about why my wife, son, and I are here." I looked at them confused. "Honey, meet their son Bane. He's the soon-to-Alpha. And he needs a strong wife. And we have chosen you. A week after you turn 18, you will be married to Bane, and take place as Alpha and Luna of the Richardson pack." I widened my eyes. "What?" My voice was barely a whisper. I looked at my mother's saddened eyes. "Sorry baby. But it's how it has to be. We need to join our packs together, to make both of us stronger." I nodded slowly and swallowed the curse words in my throat. I wouldn't embarrass my family. Later, I'll have a civilized talk with both of my parents. "Alright, let’s go eat dinner. It should be ready right now." My mother announced. We all stood up, and I realized my father's Beta/best friend, the Beta Female, Waverly, and Michael, and Maybelle. Also, my aunt Elaine was helping set up dinner. Everyone got seated at the huge table and dished a plate. I sat in between Lance, and Bane. It was very awkward. After dinner, our parents instructed Bane and I to talk and "bond". We went upstairs to my bedroom and I sat on my bed. He stood by the window and looked out of it. We didn't talk, and when it was time for him to go, he gave me curt nod. Waverly hugged me lightly. "It'll be fine. You might not think so now, but you will. I promise. How about this? Court, Brody, Jarod, and I will take you out. We can go to that new club in the neutral zone." A neutral zone is where rogues, and packs can meet up. "My dad will never let me." "He will if I promise to look over you. We could even bring Bane." I shrugged and nodded. "Alright." I gave her a weak smile. She squealed and hugged me tight. "Waverly honey, it's time to go." Bree called up the stairs. "Okay mom!" She hugged me and bid goodbye. I went downstairs to talk to my parents. I hadn't changed yet, and I wanted to make this quick. "Mom, dad, can I talk to you?" They looked at me warily. "Of course, sweetheart." They patted the seat next to them. "Why do I have to marry Bane?" I said exasperated. "Because sweetie. When you marry him, you can help us join packs." "What if I find my mate?" I said, my voice cracking. "Then we'll deal with it when it comes. Go to bed honey." My mother hugged me tight, as did my father. I went upstairs and changed into my pajamas. I hastily wiped my make up off and put my hair up. I cried myself to sleep, not knowing what to do.
