The ride to the hospital was freaking awkward, I can't put a finger why. We ran to the Emergency room as soon as we got off from the car. I saw Frei sobbing at one of the bench inside.

"What are you f*****g crying about?!" Darren shouted. I quickly pulled his shoulder and laid my palm against his heart.

"Darren, Calm down." I soothed him and approached his sister.

"Is Grandpa okay Frei?" I asked.

She nods her head. "He had a heart attack earlier this morning when Father and him had an argument about you guys." She explained.

I look at Darren, He was looking a bit confused. What could possibly be the reason about us that made Grandpa's condition worst?

Mother came out from a room. She was sad, by looking at her face it's like she had cried a lot. I immediately went for her and hugged her.

She was shocked at first but warmed up a bit for me. "I'm sorry Ruru. Darwin didn't mean to get your Grandpa angry. He was furous when we said that we will not force you anymore on bearing a child." She explained.

Darren pulled me away from his Mother. "Why would you say that to him?! We all know that his condition is critical!" Again he was shouting.

"Don't raise your voice on me child! Everyone knows that you both don't want this! Don't you think that we wanted both of you to be happy? Don't fool us! You hate each other, Your father tried to explain to your Grandpa but he refuse to give you both what you wanted!" Charlotte was now angry at both of us so I back away more.

"Ha! Now you make me laugh. Don't act as if you care. You both wanted this right? You and Father, You both wanted to make my life miserable." Darren replied.

Me and Frei gasped as we saw Charlotte slapped her own son. "You listen to me Darren. No Parent would want their children to be miserable. We did everything to get you out of this situation but we couldn't knowing that your Grandpa personally wants this, we all know his condition that's why we agreed."

With that Charlotte left us all, she walked out of the room. Everything was still in the process of understanding so I just slopped down the bench with Frei.

Everyone was all agreeing with this damn situation because of Darren's Grandpa, They tried pulling us out but looked what happened to him. We were so close to losing him, every single one of us was afraid.

I looked up as a Doctor went out of the room where Grandpa was. "His looking for his Grandson and the wife." He simply said then left. I looked at Darren while he was looking at me, he nods once so I stood up and went inside the room with him.

As we were inside, I almost cried when I saw Darwin Yuan crying while kissing the left hand of his own Father. He saw as by the door, he stands up and kissed Grandpa's hair and went out to leave us.

"Ru-Ruisa... Come closer." He tried to talk. I quickly went beside him and held his hands.

"Grandpa, you almost had us worried there. Please don't do that again." I said.

He instantly smiled a bit. "Did I? Don't worry too mu-much. I'm so old, You can't tell that I'll be with you fo-forever."

"Don't say that. I just came back, I want to spend more time with you." I said, feeling my eyes starting to blur.

He looks at Darren who was still standing at the door. "Don't ju-just stand there you good for nothing ch-child. Come closer so I can smack you with my..." He didn't get to finish his sentence when he started to cough.

Darren started walking closer beside me. "What is it Grandpa? Can't this wait? You need to rest and..."

"I want you to promise your old man that you will grant my dying wish."

Me and Darren was shocked. He did not, Oh my Gosh. What the hell? Dying wish? What is he talking about? Why is he talking about dying? He just survived a heart attack now his talking about saying goodbye to the world?

"Grandpa, what are you talking about? Nobody is dying." I joked but deep inside a part of me was broken.

"Promise me Darren." He pleaded. I could no longer hold my tears.

"You know I love you Grandpa, I will grant any wish for you, Just don't talk about this dying shits." He answered. My heart aches so much.

"Let this marriage work, T-Try to learn how to love each other." Grandpa said. I didn't expect him to ask that, I thought he'll be insisting on me bearing a child but it was way deep than that.

We both became silent. We we're shocked and confused of Grandpa's dying wish, What if we don't fall in love? What if everything will be worse than that? What if we both get hurt?

"I promise Grandpa, I promise I'll try." Darren spoke. I looked at his face, Is he serious? I was waiting for something, What was I waiting? A word Joke? This is a serious matter, This is Love we're talking about.

One does not fall in love easily and yet he's willing to try? Can't I just say no to this? Can I just back out from everything? Why was I afraid? Was I afraid to fall or was I afraid to get hurt?

Darren then looks at me, For the first time in forever, I saw a different side of him, Everything was at pause, Everything was on slow motion like the earth began to just stop and wait for me to answer.

I pursed my lips, Closed my eyes for a minute then answered. "I promise Grandpa, I will try."
