We meander about the museum corridors and anterooms for a solid three hours. The dioramas and main exhibitions are no doubt gorgeous, and I realize how strange it is we came here for a rusted box of all things. Corinna’s mind seems to remain elsewhere, brows in a thick knot as she studies the ceiling. Throughout the afternoon she’s come to greater attention, but not on par with how she typically is. Something about her is still distant, though not in the dazed sense. Instead, like she’s planning something. Still, I feel a strange responsibility to watch out for her, which has distracted me from my usual neuroses around unfamiliar places. I have yet to even find where the fire exits are located.
