After saying those words, the doctor looked at me up and down. A nasty smirk was etched on her face, hinting that I had just cracked up a joke.
"Pfft... Mrs. Williams, are you totally desperate that you ask a mere college student to pay your bills?" said the doctor arrogantly.
Mrs. Williams didn't say anything and she just looked at her feet while Zachary looked at me with full of doubt.
Before I could speak, Zachary cut me in, "Dr. Faye, what about the promise? I thought you'll give us more days of staying here. I already promised to prepare the money—"
