Dimitri and Devon both fell into silence and that’s when I decided to walk in. “Hey, have you guys found anything?” I asked, pretending I didn’t hear anything. I noticed Dimitri jumped a little at my voice. I wanted to yell at him so badly that I was surprised I could keep this calm, nonchalant demeanour. “We’re still looking.” Dimitri replied quietly, staring down at the floor, avoiding eye contact with both Devon and I. Devon simply glared at Dimitri before mumbling about how he felt tired and needed a break from all this research and so he left, leaving Dimitri and I alone. I walked up to Dimitri and sat down beside him on the couch. I wasn’t sure if I should hide the fact that I knew what he was planning, or to tell him that I found out.
