Chapter 6 - A Red

654 Words
Waking up at six in the morning is a pleasure I can do since I have full night's sleep. Every day, I water my plant's in the veranda, a row of violet that was imported from the west. Then I will sit on the bench to read a chapter of two of the book I kept from the great Drac's library. Today is no different. After watering the plant's, I sat down on the bench reading when I start hearing sounds of people busying themselves. I did not pay attention as it was a usual thing that happens lately since the day they announce that Agatha will come. 'She's here.' A very familiar voice speaks on my head. It was the voice of my childhood imaginary friend. A voice that guides me through thick and thin. I know it sounds weird, but it keeps me sane. My imaginary friend stands as my soul, it was like an inner me that helps me with my judgment. I close the book and lay it down on the bench. She's her? I asked myself, or more on my imaginary friend. But same as before I was like a crazy woman talking to my own shadow, it doesn't reply. So instead I went to the bath and take a shower. Ciel is already downstairs taking his breakfast for he needs to go to school. Today I'm wearing white, in a sea of black and red, wearing a white will make you stand out. I walked back inside the room to find the bed empty. Taylor might be in the main lobby, or he might have gone to our office. I primp myself and go out of the room, I was walking to our office when I saw one of the castle maids, she was making a sign like a stop or something. It was so weird that I didn't listen. I walk straight to our office to see the guars standing there crossing their swords on me. "What is the meaning of this?" I asked. "Lady Agatha is with his majesty, you are not allowed to enter." One of the guards answer. I let out a sighed and said. "I command you to open the door of my office!" I shouted. But they didn't budge. "I said open the door!" I shouted again. My heart is panting, why is she here? It's too early, plus Taylor and I talked about this, we will meet her together, talk to her, and set the house rule. Why am I being locked out? "Esme dear stop. Come with me." It was Callie. I stop and look at her, my eye's filled with anger. We went to her room. It was one of the vaguest rooms I ever went to, it is a very gothic room, with a smell of chamomile. "There was an emergency that made Agatha come here earlier than expected. Father is with them having a close-door meeting. I'm sorry for not telling you right away. I went to your room, but I only found Taylor lying on the bed." She explained. "I was taking a shower," I said. My mind is somewhere else wondering what's the emergency. "Apparently, Demitri was spotted near Agatha's place. He is targetting the woman now." I laughed. "As far as I can remember they're friends," I said on a matter-of-fact tone. "I know, I know. That's what I'm thinking also. He could be there to visit her, not to attack her or something." She said. "Plus, they didn't have bad blood. I wonder what's there agenda? Isn't it that they are about to have a meeting about Agatha's coming?" I smirk. "Or this could be their plan so Agatha will come earlier." Added Callie. "Whatever it is, let's find out soon. All I know is that this ain't a good thing." I said. She taps me on the shoulder before letting me leave.
