Kevin idled outside Jupiter Point High School for half an hour before he realized that Holly wasn’t coming out. After a Sunday “family day” that was more like a Cold War, he’d decided he needed to shake things up.
He hardly ever picked Holly up at school anymore, so that right there would be a dramatic gesture of goodwill. After that, he planned to take her to Pie in the Sky, where they made the most incredible sugared donuts that Holly loved.
