Sean planted one foot forward and, with both hands, hurled his bat at the man. It cartwheeled through the air and connected just as the gun went off. The discharge sounded like a cheap firework, muffled by the piercing alarm still screaming like a banshee. The bouncer stumbled backwards, colliding with the customer wearing the black baseball cap who was fleeing toward the front door. The cap flew from the customer’s head upon impact, exposing red hair.
