Chapter 21Sean watched Lakeisha’s taillights shrink into the dark until her the cab hung a right and completely disappeared from view. Only then did he jog across the street—gun in his hand—to a chain-link fence beside the open entrance of the marina parking lot. Pushing his way through shrubs and stumbling across a large puddle of water he didn’t see, he entered the gravel lot. Staying low, he took cover behind a white commercial van. He dropped to a knee and peered around the fender of the vehicle. There were only two other cars in the lot, meaning that few if any of the docked boats had people living on them.
