Trapped in a World of Lies

Chapter Two

Third person's POV

Ruby pushes Aiden on the bed gently and flashes the worker a grateful smile as he walks out of the room leaving the both of them together.

Ruby releases a heavy sigh as she struggles to take Aiden's shoes off his legs as he refuses to remain in one position for long. Ruby eventually helps him take off his shoes but the next task is difficult because Aiden refuses to lie down, he sits uptight and faces Ruby, he suddenly grips her by the waist and pulls her close to him.

Ruby clears her throat and struggles to get out of his grip but his grip on her is too tight.

"Sir." She whispers as Aiden slowly leans closer to her face. Aiden suddenly presses his lips against hers causing a spark to rise in Ruby. Her mind tells her to move away but her body succumbs to Aiden's charm. Her hands reach for his jet black hair and ruffles it.

Aiden's hands move from her waist down to her thighs and he caresses it. Ruby eventually pulls away from the kiss and tries to catch her breath but Aiden's face is still an inch away from hers.

Aiden's hands move to her shirt and he slowly unbuttons it, Ruby stares at him while lost in his gorgeous features, she lets him take off her shirt. Ruby allows herself to fall victim to his charm, her hands reach for his shirt and she rips it off as well exposing his bare chest. Aiden kisses her passionately as his hands explore every part of her body. Ruby allows him place her gently on the bed while he climbs on her and pauses to admire every part of her body like it is a work of art.

Ruby and Aiden get intimate that night ignoring the consequences that will accompany the choices of their actions.

The next morning, Ruby flutters her eyes open and the next thing that hits her is the rays coming from the sun. She groans in frustration and rolls to the other side of the bed, her body collides with something hard causing her to snap her eyes open fully. Ruby comes eye to eye contact with a familiar gentle face. Her boss, Aiden Flare looks calm with his eyes close. He looks like a child while asleep and Ruby can not help but admire his gorgeous physique.

Her eyes suddenly widen in shock as she relieves the memory of everything that happened last night. She places her hands over her mouth to stop herself from screaming, not at the sight of Aiden's bare chest and how muscular it is but at the fact that she just had s*x with her boss. Ruby jerks off the bed with her heart racing extremely fast, she runs a hand through her red hair in frustration and cusses under her breath. Ruby scolds herself for letting Aiden's charm get the best of her. She slowly gets off the bed and is embarrassed at her own nakedness, her embarrassment increases when she remembers that Aiden, her boss must have seen her naked as well.

Ruby lets out a small cry as she tiptoes into the bathroom to get cleaned up. She lets the warm water coming from the shower to wash away her tears and sins as well. Ruby dashes out of the bathroom with a towel wrapped around her body, she notices that her boss is still fast asleep so she uses that opportunity to get changed into her clothes from last night. Thankfully her clothes are still intact. Ruby picks up her purse and dashes out of the hotel room with her heart racing fast as she can not still comprehend the fact that she had a one night stand with her boss.

Ruby dials her best friend's number and it goes through on the second ring.

"Hello?" Rita's voice blares out the speaker. "Ruby, is that you?"

"Yes, it is me Ruby." Ruby pauses to burst into tears as she makes her way out of the hotel.

"What happened to you girl? I searched for you all throughtout the night. it was like you just disappeared." Rita's voice is still laces with worry but also with a little sprinkle of anger.

"You will not believe what happened Rita. I swear you will not. I will talk to you at home, bye." Ruby hangs up the call and hastily boards a cab back home.

The drive back home only takes an hour because of the traffic, the cab pulls into a driveway. Ruby gets off the vehicle and pays the driver off. She scurries into the house where Rita is waiting for her impatiently in the sitting room.

"You are supposed to be at work." Ruby snaps at her friend. Ruby's eyes are red as a result of the tears that has been flowing from her eyes ever since she left the hotel room.

"You too Ruby. How was I supposed to leave for work when I could not even find you?" Rita snaps at Ruby who slumps to the floor and bursts into series of sobs.

Rita dashes towards Ruby with a concerned look on her face, she pulls Ruby up gently and questions "What happened? Were you robbed?"

"I wish." Ruby replies letting the tears gush down her cheeks.

"You are scaring me Ruby, tell me what is wrong, did you get robbed? Miss your way home?"

"I had s*x with my boss." Ruby deadpans. Rita looks taken aback by Ruby's confession. Rita pulls away from Ruby and stares at her with disbelief.

"You did what?" Rita exclaims with her eyes wide open in shock.

"You heard me right. I had s*x with my boss!" Ruby cries out falling flat to the floor. Rita is about to speak up but Ruby's ringing tone blares out loud starting her and interrupting Rita.

Ruby's eyes move to her purse, she reaches for it and fetches her phone out. Her eyes suddenly widen in shock at the caller ID.
