I tried to listen, but my phone rang a few seconds later. “Cataldi.” “Detective?” It was a woman’s voice, but caller ID had been blank. “Hello?” “Detective, you were right.” I thought I recognized her voice. “Mrs. Ingle?” “I’m sorry. Yes, this is Anne Ingle. And you were right about the affair. I did know.” More silence, then, “Perhaps you should come back here so we can talk. There’s a lot to discuss.” “It will take us about half an hour,” I said, and hung up.
