i was having a really good time playing games but I remembered the school break is over.... I have to deal with studies again. if only I could bring my teacher in my house, and teach me while I'm playing games... that will be my fantasy. *phone rings* "hello, girl?" farreila on the phone; "hello, keisha? are you coming to school tomorrow?" "probably. Why?" farreila on the phone; " I was probably hoping that... could you go to a nearby school supplies shop? unfortunately... I didn't buy 3 notebooks that our teacher mentioned before school break, and I'm not at home at the moment, i'm with my aunt... I don't have enough time to buy it..." "sure, no problems. I'm buying mine later as well." farreila on the phone ; "yey! thank you so much, kei! you're a gift from heaven. I'll pay you at school tomorrow, thank you! I'm hanging up, my aunt's here, bye!" "alright, bye." after i put the phone at my desk again, I continued playing games on my computer, then suddenly, I heard a loud bang coming downstairs. I hurriedly headed downstairs and when I came to the kitchen, I saw a kitten and its biting the fish that mom cooked. Oh no! I'm gonna be so much in trouble! hey, hey! kitty! nooo, my mom cooked that! I'm gonna be in trouble, come back! after a blink, it suddenly disappeared. no! my mom's gonna be mad! fortunately, it only took one fish, but the fish it took is the biggest! I think I'm not gonna eat anything today... but that kitten is fast, despite being a kitten. Weird. keisha's mom: "hey, why are you shouting?" "mom, let me be honest. I was in my room earlier, and I headed downstairs because I heard a loud bang, and when I arrived at the kitchen, I saw a kitten and It took the biggest fish on the table..." Keisha's mom: "what? why didn't you try to get it again? sh! that's for your dad, what he's gonna eat then?" "ma! dad's not coming home till night. He'll probably go home at 12 am because of his busy schedule at work, so... you can probably cook another dish at night for him?" Keisha's Mom: " be thankful you're at your room when that happened, or else you're not gonna eat anything today. oh right! sit down and let's eat lunch." oh, thank god mom was so easy to deal with. I didn't even realize that it was lunch time, I was busy playing games earlier. maybe it's time to talk about the thing that's been going through my head, and it took me weeks to decide, I'm fully decided now. But It all depends on my mom's decision. "hey mom" Keisha's mom: "if you're asking for money, I don't have anything at the moment." "no, ma. it's even bigger than money" Keisha's mom: "what? do you have a credit that you need to pay or else they'll take our house?" "ma, for real. can you be at least serious? Even just this time and let me finish my words?" Keisha's mom: "yeah, sure. I was just clearing this serious air. Usually when you talk like this at lunch, I knew for sure that you need something serious." "yeah, indeed. it is super serious, and it all depends on you. but be considerate, ma. it's for my own good." Keisha's Mom: "yeah, go ahead." "don't you think i need a dorm near my school?" Keisha's Mom: "what?" "think of it, I have to spend tons of money because my school is very far away from our house, and i need to wake up super early to catch the first ride, and after that I need to ride two more before going to school, it's hustle ma." Keisha's mom: "you're so sure about this yet you're not sure if you're independent enough to do this." "I can, ma! trust me. I'm grade 10 now! graduating and two years more and I'll be a college, it will really help me." Keisha's mom: "you can't even clean your own room, how could you clean a whole dorm?" "ma!" Keisha's mom: "honey, this is really a serious thing to be independent with. you have to cook for yourself, clean, and even do dorm chores alone. it's fine for me, really. it will help you focus on your studies, but don't you think you can really do it? I can give you a ride to school?" "ma, trust me. I've been giving this a thought since last last week. don't you want it? I'll be independent, and if I'm free then I'll clean. and ma, you cannot give me a ride, you're busy with yourself since you're my mom. Estrellia and Olive really need you since they're at elementary school. Okay?" Keisha's Mom: "okay. I'll discuss it with your father when he came home later. but let me remind you on this, if he agrees, I will be the one to help you find a good dorm near your school, and I'll visit you when I have time, okay?" "okay, ma." Keisha's Mom: "i'll let you know what your father's answer tomorrow, we'll talk that out later. finish your food." "thanks ma, be sure you get dad's approval." to be honest, I'm not really sure if I can do it independently, but I really want to explore things and be myself most of the time. And it will save me money, time and I will not woke up very early to catch rides. it's really a good opportunity to be a grown up even I'm a teenager. I'm not sure, but one thing for sure yet I'm ready to step up in adulthood, I'm turning 17 this year, it's a good opportunity for real.
