(Wyatt’s POV)
I’ll admit I was a bit angry when the kids told me they’d been down to see Mia. I kept expecting them to tell me they promised to spare her life if she talked. Thankfully, they didn’t do anything like that.
It also genuinely p*ssed me off when they said she’d done all of this sh*t without even checking into her uncle’s story to begin with. But then April pointed out that most people would’ve done the same thing in her place. Maybe not to the extreme Mia did but they’d take a similar stance.
Today, however, I’m in a pretty good mood. Why, you ask? Well that’s easy. Ken is being released and since he’ll be on restricted duties for a few days, like me, he’s coming to our apartment to recover which means Lily and I get to spend some time with our son.
