(Alex’s POV)
He wasn’t kidding, either. We stopped at Staples and Jake went in to pick up a few notebooks and some pens. When Jake handed them to Parker the dude looked like he might cry and he kept thinking us for getting them for him.
He’s been writing in them practically non-stop since Jake handed him the bag.
After spending a little time with him I can admit he does seem harmless. Weird, but harmless. And I do think he cares for April and her parents too. Between everything he says and what he thinks it’s apparent that he respects April and he adores her in a very ‘distant Uncle’ or ‘Cousin’ type way.
“So what do you think?” Winter asked as we stepped out onto the balcony. “I think he’s just another victim of Scott’s maniacal plots. He doesn’t even know about Solaris, only Scott.”
