When the kids came racing up to the hospital Wyatt and I were there to greet them. Wyatt wanted a look at these fools who followed the kids and I wanted to be front and center to welcome Parker.
When we lived in Philly he was a good neighbor to us. He used to watch over my girls whenever I was away. Not that they knew that. To a lot of people he seemed like he was a cantankerous old man. But I knew better. And now that I know about Crystal I’m positive she knew better too.
We used to talk a lot about this world and how much we missed living with our own kind. I just wish he’d told me about this crap before now, too. But he has now and I’m going to do everything within my power to make sure he’s safe.
