(Alex’s POV)
It’s been two days since the incident in the woods. But I can’t get it out of my mind for some reason. Those men weren’t typical rogues. They were too organized and knew enough to take me down first.
My worry is that it’s somehow gotten out that April lost her gifts. We made a public stand against Solaris during which she showed her powers to the supernatural world. If it’s gotten out that she’s powerless now there will be dark f*rces coming after her left, right, and center.
I know Tyler has four prisoners in our dungeons. Jake said there were actually five rogues, but one died from injuries sustained by Sparks, who apparently got a little overzealous in protecting April. Not that I can blame her. I’d probably have been the same way.
