(April’s POV) I sat there listening to him talk about his ad*iction but didn't say anything. I’ll admit, I didn’t see this coming. But it does kind of make sense, too. It explains a lot about his behavior over the past few years. But that he was able to hide it for so long is what got to me most. That’s not a "him" problem, that’s an "us" problem. Those of us who were supposed to know him better. We should’ve seen that he needed help, that there was more going on than what the rest of us had been dealing with.
