(Leo’s POV)
I watched their expressions as I pointed out and demonstrated how the medallions connect. Once the medallions were snapped into place with each other I slid them across to April and said, “Holding just one medallion I want you to pick them both up.”
I could see Alex’s mind jump straight to ‘that won’t work’ but April? There was something different in her eyes and I smirked just as Alex was voicing his doubts. “There’s no way in h*ll that slight connection will hold their weight, though.”
I chuckled softly just as April gently, and slowly, picked up the two medallions. I was looking right at her when the connection held and I watched her slender brow arch with fascination and intrigue.
