(April’s POV)
When I woke up, the first thing I noticed was that I was lying on something soft. I didn’t hear the sounds of the forest anymore, so I figured I was on a bed or sofa or something. But since I didn’t hear beeping, I figured I wasn’t in the hospital, thank the Goddess.
My next thought was who might be in the room with me. The last thing I want is to open my eyes and find a whole gaggle of people all around me. So I decided to just take a little peek.
Thankfully, the only person I saw was my Dad. And he was standing by the window looking out at the early morning. It wasn’t until I opened both eyes that I realized it wasn’t necessarily early morning, it was just a very overcast day with rain pelting the glass.
