“I really think I should be out there with them. My sister isn’t exactly used to being around people. She needs me.” Doug said, yet again, making me sigh as I said, yet again, “Doug, she’s fine. They’re right where we all can see them and Ken is a good guy. He won’t do anything that would hurt her. I promise. And if he does I promise that I will personally kick his sorry as* for it. So please, just try to settle down and enjoy your dinner.”
I’m starting to lose count how many times I’ve had to patiently reiterate that sentiment. “I’m not. But I have a thought on that.
