(Alex’s POV)
The next morning I woke early because when I rolled over in my sleep and reached for April to snuggle into, she was gone. Groggily, I sat up and looked around thinking maybe one of the pups needed her, but she wasn’t over with the kids. She also wasn’t with her Brother.
I got up and quietly made my way to the closest set of glass doors overlooking the patio to the back courtyard but all I saw was the large inground pool and our barbeque pit. “Bathroom. She’s in the bathroom.” I told myself as I went back to my sleeping bag. But something told me she wasn’t in the d*mn bathroom.
