The look on Mia’s face was priceless. She was shocked, but also unsure whether to believe Alex or not. But as everything began to sink in for her she sunk back onto her cot with a blank stare and didn’t move.
“Maybe we should let her be for now, babe. That’s an awful lot of information to have to ingest.” I said as I moved around Ken and got next to Alex. I caught how his back stiffened a little and instantly went on guard, looking around to see why he would react that way. But there wasn’t anything wrong.
Maybe it was just because we were leaving? Especially if he wasn’t through yet. So I just ignored it and we left the dungeon in silence.
