(Alex’s POV)
So, we’re on the tarmac waiting for everyone to arrive. We had to take several cars to get everyone here and there was some road construction that detoured us. As a result, a few of the cars got lost on the way here.
On the plus side, it took us so long to go around the detour that April fell asleep on my shoulder. I mean, it’s only four in the morning after all. “No… No. I need five SUV's ready for us when we land.”
Yeah, that was my Dad. He’s outside the car, pacing around as he talks to the car rental place. They don’t seem to have enough vehicles for us. “Uncle Teddy? Gimme.” April said as she sat up and yawned.
I wasn’t even aware she’d woken up, but she looked so adorable stretching out the sleep from her petite body. “It’s okay, sweetheart. Go back to sleep.” My D
