(Alex’s POV)
April and I decided to split up so we could cover more ground. She was checking all his favorite hide and go seek spots while I was checking the kitchen, game room, training grounds, and pool. Our kids were all excellent swimmers for their ages but the thought of him going in the pool on his own still scared the h*ll out of me.
“Anything?” April asked me through a mind-link as I was checking my last spot. “No, you?”
“Nothing. I’ll meet you out front.” She said with determination. I could sense her emotions so I knew she was a wreck inside, just like me. But we both knew we needed to focus on finding him. We can fall apart late.
