(April’s POV, cont’d)
Winter was getting ready to drop Alex’s shield for a second, but first he moved me away from Alex by putting me between him and Bethany. Alex just rolled his eyes. Me? I huffed at how ridiculous Winter was being.
It took less than a minute for Alex to start shaking his head like he was trying to knock something loose in it. We could see his eyes becoming more and more dazed as confusion slowly set in.
“That’s enough, Win. Put it back.” I said quickly and Winter had a shield back around Alex so fast it stilled his already spinning head. Of course, I didn’t waste another second before rushing over to him to see if he was alright, “Babe? Are you okay?”
