“Come on. I wanna have another look at them. See if we can get some of the guys. If not, then I’ll talk to my Dad and see if I can get them out of training.” I caught April's smirk, which seemed odd, so I asked, “Am I missing the joke there?”
She laughed as she shook her head. “Nope. It’s just that Raine wanted to go train, and now she’s yipping at me about not letting this wait.” She laughed again which had me chuckling along with her.
“Well, looks like you’re going to have to work your magic with your Dad. They said they can’t get away.” The mischievous smile that filled her face actually had me worried. “I’ll be right back. Just give me five minutes.”
