Jai, Kavi?

"Ash let's go" nandu spoke to ash as she walked grabbing bicycle keys from her backpack. Vasu too walked along with nandu.
"How can you act so normal with me?" ash blurted eying nandu.
"Ash?? What are you talking about? Why shouldn't I act normal?" nandu frowned shrinking her eyes.
"You know what I'm talking about. Don't act" ash said in a cold tone.
"One sec..Ash?What happened? Please be clear" Vasu jumped in to avoid a mess.
"Nandu is cheating me. She has trapped my Harsh" ash yelled pointing her finger at nandu.
"What? Who told you?" nandu asked in shock.
"Jai...jai told me, that one of my friends is harsh's current girlfriend" ash said without making any roundabouts of the matter.
"One of us? Even if he said that it's one of us, how can you conclude that the one is me?" nandu asked her.
"Because you're the one who had a secret crush on him, don't think I don't know" ash bashed on her arrogantly.
"Oh please Ash.. You're right that I've a crush on him. But right now I'm...I'm dating sushanth"
"What?" both Vasu and Ash shouted in unison.
"Yup.. You heard it right. At first I didn't like him much. But he was being really nice to me and he even proposed which I couldn't deny"
"Nandu we're very happy for you" they both hugged her tightly forgetting the topic on which they were arguing. They walked to their bicycles giggling and teasing nandu.
"By the way where's kavi guys?" Vasu asked. All the three of them snapped their heads at once at each other as they realised something "Kavi?? Is kavi?" nandu spoke but was cut-off by Ash "No..I don't think so. She's really not into these gf-bf things".
"Okay.. But where's she? We've to go to our home. Isn't she coming with us?" Vasu asked. It was usual that they all walk to home together. But kavi didn't show up at the parking place today. Just then their eyes popped out when they saw kavi with Harsh.
Harsh was walking out of the campus with kavi holding her hand, to be precise he was dragging her with him. She silently followed him to his bike. Ash now realised that kavi was the one who has been cheating her. She left nandu and Vasu and walked hurriedly to Harsh and kavi.
"Kavi!" ash yelled making both of them to snap their heads in her direction. Kavi's eyes widened and she gulped hard when she saw Ash in front of her.
"Hey Ash. Any problem?" Harsh addressed her nonchalantly unaware of the problem.
"Umm..Nothing. Actually we all go together to home so.." Ash spoke but she was cut-off by harsh "No...I'm sorry actually she's coming with me" he clasped his hand around kavi's waist pulling her closer from side and kissed her pale cheek. This sting Ash badly to the core.
"But why?Why is she coming with you?" ash asked in disbelief. She couldn't digest that kavi, who never used to talk about Harsh and didn't even participated in dance to impress him was actually planning something like this in her mind.
"Because she's my friend. Can't I drop my friend home?" Harsh said without taking another second to think. He was telling everyone that she's just a friend to him but he had something else for her in his heart.
"Ofcoarse but boyfriend is more than friend right? She has a boyfriend, who wants to take the privilege" Ash said dragging kavi from his grip leaving him shocked with her statement.
"Boyfriend?" he gritted teeth glaring kavi. Kavi couldn't understand what she was talking about. She was shocked too. Kavi wanted to open her mouth but was stopped by Ash as she crushed her hand hinting her to be quite.
"Yup. See her boyfriend is already here" ash spoke. Everyone including nandu and Vasu who were standing at a distance observing everything also turned their heads in the direction where ash was staring.
"Hi guys" Jai says as he walked to them.
"Jai...look you're girlfriend is been worrying that you've not arrived Yet" ash said winking at jai. Jai at first frowned but later he too smiled knowing her intension as he didn't wanted Ash to feel disappointed.
"Kavi... My baby where have you been. I was searching for you. Let's go" Jai said as he took kavi's hand in his.
Harsh boiled with anger. He wanted to tear apart jai for touching her. But he calmed down his anger, and didn't utter a word. But watched silently as jai sped away with kavi on his bike.
Kavi was feeling very ashamed of herself for not being brave. She couldn't even stand for herself and her dignity. First Harsh touched her without her permission, he made her do whatever he wants just like a puppet whose strings are in his hands.
And now Ash was using her to win Harsh. She didn't even realise when she was dragged into all this mess. She was a great daughter of a well-respected man in the society. How will she face her father when he comes to know what's happening with his daughter.
She wanted to tell her father about Harsh and his unacceptable behaviour the day when he threatened her to sit on his bike, but she was shy. She couldn't discuss this with her father. She didn't even tell her mother thinking they may get worried.
She decided to avoid Harsh and everything related to Harsh. But her damn fate, her best friend... Like out of all the people in the world her best friend wants to be Harsh's girlfriend.
And it is well known to her that Ash was after harsh only to complete the challenge she made in front of all her friends. Who's gonna convince Ash, a bloody silly challenge doesn't mean lowering her friend's dignity.
Ash didn't even asked her once why she was with Harsh, just concluded something in her stupid mind and declared her as 'Jai's girlfriend'. She knew Ash must have done this to distract harsh's attention from her.
But now what is important is to clear with jai, why would he support Ash in this. Why did he say Yes when Ash told Harsh that Kavi is his girlfriend. Right now kavi was having an extremely awkward ride on Jai's bike.
Awkward than what it felt with Harsh. Even though jai didn't forced her to hold him from behind like harsh did, even though he maintained distance all through the ride, it was awkward.
"Here we are" Jai spoke as they reached kavi's home. He was about to turn his bike around to leave "Jai..wait" he turned his head to see a confused kavi playing with her backpack's handle.
"I know what are you going to ask me. Let me clear this, I love Ash" she got stunned, her bowed down head tilted up and her eyes got widened. This was another shock.
"I really love her. But she has taken a challenge to make Harsh her boyfriend, that's why I'm helping her. Once she win the challenge everything is gonna be alright. She'll leave Harsh and I'll make her mine. I also know that you don't love Harsh, do you?" he asked frowning.
"No" she replied swiftly.
