"Late again Mr. Montgomery" my English teacher Mr. Miller said I looked up to see Joseph

"Damn he's hot" I heard a girl say

"What I wouldn't give to get in those pants of his" I heard the class slut say and the rest of her groupie's sigh and nod their heads like bobble heads I gagged and rolled my eyes. I don't get why they're all over him he's stupid and arrogant just like his brother Cory all they like is getting into girls pants partying and playing football.

The first three classes went by quickly. The bell rang signaling it was time to go to 4th period I got my stuff and took off to my locker to wait for Scarlet, so we can walk together to class. The minute bell rang signaling there was only one more minute till class started and we were going to be late I sighed.

"Sup babe" I looked up to see scarlet winking at me.

"What are you winking at I'm going to be late"

"Tsk tsk careful babe you’re starting to show your true colors" she moved her index finger side to side.

I rolled my eyes at her and started to walk she followed me and coughed signaling me that she wanted to know what was wrong, I just ignored her and kept walking she coughed even louder "eh hemmmm!!"

"Fine" I groaned I told her everything as we made our way to class.

"Yas are you stupid?"

"What do you mean"

"Oh my god Yasmine what if he starts asking questions i***t!" I froze, I didn't think this through damn he might see through my disguise(which is not much of a disguise but you know) and start asking questions. My train of thought was interrupted when we walked in the classroom all eyes were on us I immediately looked down and tried my best to fake a blush.

"Why are you late?" our full-time substitute questioned me and scarlet. Scarlet shrugged and took her seat as usual she could care less.

"Well miss Martinez?" the sub looked at me with an eyebrow raised his bald spot is so shiny I wonder if he polishes it or maybe he rubs oil on it does he get sunburned? i swear it twinkle when he moves.

"I'm v-very s-sorry s-sir it w-won't h-happen a-again" I fake stuttered and kept looking down he sighed and nodded for me to take a seat, I took my seat by scarlet. I looked up at her and she gave me a smirk and a wink I once again rolled my eyes at her.

"Ok class I have something new today" our sub started instructing the class.

"I will partner you up and you are to find out as much as you can about your partner take pictures and put it into a slideshow this will take a month I know this is algebra but since the year is almost over I decided to give you all a little break today you will fill in this sheet and continue your project out of school listen for your partner" why does this sound like the begining of a cliche.

Scarlet had the creepiest grin ever she's had a crush on that guy for the longest, but he never seemed to notice. He was tall thick not fat thick he had dark brown hair and looked like a cholo (gangster) and scarlet went nuts over cholos. I always told her if the wall was dressed like a cholo she would probably go nuts over it too, I was brought out of my thoughts when I heard my name.

Huh? whose Joey? I never heard of him weird whatever ill meet him today I guess.

"Okay class move with your partners" the class started getting up and moving around Scarlet didn't have to move seeing that Jesus sat right in front of her I didn't move either I didn't know who Joey was, so he'll just have to find me, I thought as someone sat next to me I didn't look up.

"Hey," a husky voice said it sounded sexy I just had to look at him, so I turned only to come face to face with Joseph Montgomery f**k! No no no what is this another high school romance novel?

"What cat got your tongue, you're not going to push me and talk smack" he grinned.

"I-I'm sorry I was just upset it's been a bad day for me" I apologized giving him an innocent look he seemed to hesitate before he replied in a clipped tone.

"Whatever let's just figure this thing out" he then turned around in his seat and began filling out his paper.

"Today your house ok?" he stated more than asked.

"Yeah sure"

The bell rang, I gathered my things and waited for Scarlet.

"Hey babe I won't be with you after school today I got to go to Jesus's house " she said wiggling her eyebrows at me I laughed at her suggestion.
