ALYSSA POV

I opened my eyes and saw a man beside me dressed in white as he touched my head." is he supposed to be an angel"I thought as I made an effort to sit up but he counseled me down.

"Please lay back and regain your strength, while I check on you," He said, and looking at his outfit again I realized he's a doctor."You seem a little bit intense except last night when you were fighting for your own life" I gently sat up as I watched him depart through the entrance, he met with a woman who seems familiar to me, she had been standing at the entrance the moment I woke up.

The doctor mumbled a few words to her before he left and the woman turned to me before she came in, She drew a chair close to the sickbed where I was before she took her seat.

She took my hands."Please ma'am where am I?" I asked because that was the only word that could come out of my mouth. Am still very scared because I don't want to go back to where I escaped from.

"Don't worry dear you are safe now" She said in tears and I think she noticed my scared utterance.

I could tell with the look on her face, she has been having sleepless nights because her face looks pale."pathetic" I would say because she had relinquished her bedtime because of me.

I can't recover who had happened last night all I could feel is my heartbeat in anticipation."What am I disheartened of?" I asked myself as I placed my hand on my chest.

"You are in a hospital" She listened to her sweet American accent voice said rousing me out from my deep thought.

"What happened to me?" I asked turning my gaze at her.

"I got you knocked now with my car by mistake, it was an accident and I promise sweetheart I never wished that ever happened, I was so scared you were gonna die just because of my reckless driving all to get to my son," She explained expressing her emotions out of it."And you don't need to worry about the bills I have paid them off" She said as she brought out a napkin from her pocket and wipes out the tears forming in her eyes."I did buy you something to eat also" She said as brought out a packaged food from her bag with a fruit beverage."I noticed you haven't eaten so" She said and stretch her hand giving me the food, I grabbed it all and dig into it hungrily.

I couldn't think of anything but the food, but regardless she had made me remember what I have gone through in the past five days.

I felt slight tears roll out of my eyes down to my cheek."Thanks, ma'am" I said with a fake smile.

"You don't have to" She responded and smiled back."Now you are feeling much better" She said calmly."Do you have any of your guardian contacts or address with you?"She asked."So I could help take you back home".

I began to sob.

"Aww, darling did I hurt you?" She asked feeling emotional.

"No" I replied."I just don't wanna go back" I cried.

"Go back where sweetheart? what happened?" She questioned.

"I don't have a family, I was sold out, and I was running away for safety when you knocked me down" I cried as I briefly explained."You would have just let me die because I don't wanna go back there" I cried.

She started at me in pity, she knew she had to help me, she felt bad about my whole situation. She started at me in disbelief and I knew she was thinking about how could my own family had to trade me away to strangers.

I can't just keep all the grief in my heart so I had to let it all out hoping for a change in my heart.

She hugged me tightly to comfort me as I cried in her arms.

"Is okay am here now" she said as she stroked my hair slowly.

She made me wish she's my mother with the way she had accepted me and showed me, love."Would you love to be adopted by me and taken to a better place also?"She asked and I nodded a YES. I can't believe this is happening, so God had answered me and sent me a helper, a mom, and a new home.

"Yes, please," I said and I could see happiness showing all over her beautiful face.

"Now finish your food while I called my lawyer to get the documents for adoption". She said and I nodded. With that, she stood up brought out her phone before walking to the entrance. She made a call and said a few words and I couldn't hear because of the distance between us. When she was done, she smiled and walked to me." My lawyer will be here soon" She announced, and I smiled before I focused on my food as we both waited patiently.

A few minutes later a man dressed in a black suit holding a briefcase came in and I knew he was the lawyer.

"Mr. Cameron meet" She cuts and then turned to me."Please honey what's your name?"She asked with a smile.

"Alyssa" I replied.

"Alyssa " She introduced and then turned back to him." Alyssa this is the lawyer".She said to me and smiled.

The man in black she said to be Mr. Cameron brought out a file from his briefcase and dropped it on the cabinet close to the sickbed. He opened the file and brought out a form before giving it to her. I don't know her name yet so I refer as "Her".She collected the form and read it, then borrowed a pen from him and signed it. She returned it to him." Young lady, I want you to read carefully before signing okay?" He asked warmly and I nodded as he collected the form before giving it to me.

I collected the form with a pen from her and I didn't read it because I trust her, I signed it before I returned the form.

"Great so I will send her a copy once it is approved, but for now she's now your mom and she has the rights as a mother over you," Mr. Cameron said and I smiled. He arranged the form into the file before putting it into his briefcase and dismissed.

She walked towards me smiling." you can call me MOM, but my name is Julianna, and I accept whatever you call me because I know I can't replace your real mother even though we had just signed an adoption form".She said and I smiled.

She is an understanding person so she deserves to be and to be called my mom.

The doctor came in to give us a prescription before I was discharged from the hospital.

I felt relieved as she held my hand and lead the way out of the hospital to her car. She opened the passenger car for me to go in before she joined me in. She started the car engine and zoom off.

"Where are we going?" I asked calmly.

"We are going home" she replied with a huge smile on her face still focusing on the road as she steer.

I suddenly began to feel uncomfortable, like does she has other kids, what if they don't like me and began to treat me bad like the stories my mom use to read for me, or what if I turn out to be her only child and within a month she turns out to be mean to me.

"Feeling uncomfortable?" She asked as she noticed how worried I am.

"Kind of mom" I replied and I noticed the happy expression on her face the moment I called her mom.

"You know I have a son like you that hardly calls me mom," Julianna said, and laughed and my heart skip a bit.

"A son like me?" I asked with a raised brow.

"Yeah" She replied."And in fact, I have two, one is still a kid, and the other an arrogant teen, you don't wanna mess with him"Julianna laughed.

"Uhmm... what's their name maybe age" I strumbled.

You don't have to look shy or scared while talking to me, be free am ur mom"She laughed, and I smiled.

"Liam is the older while Ryan is younger, Ryan is right year's old, his kind and rude when it comes to strangers and I find it crazy because he had been like that since he clocked six, I don't know if he's trying act like Liam, and also Liam his arrogant, but I believe in every bad person there is still a little kind and sweet heart deep inside of them," Julianna said and I just listened.

"I think Is time to see true attitude," I said to myself.

"I think because you are different you will be treated differently," Julianna said cheering me up as she drove her car into a huge estate.

"Must this be the home she's taking about?" I asked staring at how beautiful the environment and the house were.
