The more I showed that I was fit for the job, the more work came my way. One minute I am confident that I can pull anything off, the next minute, I'm burned out.
I was in my second week at the office and it seemed like I was in my second year. Every morning, the other workers brought loads of files that needed to be scanned, cross-checked or scanned and either way, I was busy.
Alessio's attitude did not change towards me. He was still cold as ever and barely locked gaze with me. It was as if he had totally forgotten what happened between the two of us.
As much as I wanted to ignore him too, it was hard. Mainly because he always took up space. He had the aura that makes it hard for anyone to ignore him and it didn't help that he loved leaving the upper buttons
