The next day, I resumed work as usual. Cleaned my desk and settled down waiting for tasks for the day when one of the security personnel walked up to me.
"Excuse me ma, there are two women outside. They said they are here to see the boss."
"Did they say their names?" I asked as per procedure.
On a normal note, no one was allowed to see Alessio unless they had an appointment with him. But it didn't look like that since he didn't inform me about it that day.
"They are from the Marino company." He replied.
My eyes widened.
Had they finally come to beg for Alessio's mercy and intervention?
It was quicker than I thought.
"Okay, let them in. I will go inform him about it now." I walked into Alessio's office while he walked away.
"What do you want?" Alessio
