Jane's POV
I was crammed into a small meeting room with Detective Harris and Nate. The atmosphere was heavy, and my heart pounded. Detective Harris dropped a thick report on the table and gave me a stern look.
"Jane," he began in his soft, low voice, "I have reviewed all the evidence that night. I can now safely say:The accident was not an accident."
I could see my hands shaking. "What do you mean, Detective? Explain."
Detective Harris reached up and adjusted his glasses. "We learned a lot of things that didn't add up. The video from the dashcam was erased. The records show someone logged in remotely. We also learned the police report had been tampered with. It is clear that someone went out of their way to delete important evidence."
