Episode 5: Diana, Peter, and Hermes

    Life is not always easy," a quote by Ralph Marston. It was true, indeed. When Hermes and Peter entered their assigned classroom, which was the same, Hermes was in shock. Amongst all the 30+ people in the school, his seating partner was Diana.

'I don't recall Diana being my seating partner back in 2021. That's weird.' Hermes thought.

"Hey, what's wrong with the serious face? I'm Diana; nice to meet you!" Diana offered a handshake.

    It did not take long for Hermes to get himself together. Hermes quickly offered his hand, shaking hands with Diana, his crush.

    One thing was in doubt, however. What happened to her in the 'original' future? Also, is the past changing when I teleport? Everything was in chaos, but the world was more chaotic. The bell rang, and classes started.

"Good morning, everyone. Welcome to '613 High School'. As a new year has begun, I hope all of you students will cooperate to make a new connection within the society." the classroom speaker explained, "That being said, please process with your first-period class. Good luck."

    It didn't make sense at all. 613 High School? The school Hermes attended was Beneficial Luck Initiated School of Students (BLISS). Things were going on a different path than expected. Hermes quickly brought out his phone and searched up BLISS.

    Beneficial Luck Initiated School of Students (BLISS): unable to find results.

    It was a school that has never existed. Something was wrong. Very wrong.

"What's the matter, Hermes?" Diana asked with a worried look.

    Even she [Diana] was different. She was not my partner in the original history, yet she is now my partner. Something was indeed weird but unexplainable.

"Nothing, I'm alright. Anyways, where are we going?" Hermes asked.

"The Lab." Diana and Peter replied at the same time.

    The laboratory had excellent quality service and sets of equipment. Everything was brand new and legitimate. If one thing were a problem, it was the crowdedness of people.

"Ugh, there's so many people here. Is everyone taking Lab Class in this period?" Peter said with a frustrated tone.

"There's nothing we can do about it, so I guess let's move ahead." Peter's partner, Mel, replied.

    Things were on a new scale. Every action that I make will create a new type of future. I had to act quickly and precisely, but this feeling of relief that I felt among Diana, Peter, and Mel, which is a feeling I felt in a long time, gave me a break from my plans.
