Another week and a half already passed from the day of the first school. It was chaotic, but Hermes did have progress in his plan. Botulinum Toxin. Over the week, he sneaked into the lab, finding the outmost right measurement for the Botulinum Toxin production. He mastered it, and the Class C outrage was no more of his problem.
It was then.
Brrr... Brrr... Brrr...
It was Diana.
"Hey, Hermes! Where are you? Did you forget that we had a lab project to do today?" Diana eagerly asked.
Today was a Saturday, the 16th of January 2021. Partnered lab project... Hermes only then remembered the promise that he made at school.
"Don't worry! I did not forget about it; I'm on the way to the cafe!" Hermes quickly lied and got ready for the promised lab work to do at the cafe.
After about an hour, Hermes arrived, but Diana was nowhere to be found. Hermes looked around, but she wasn't anywhere.
"Shoot, am I in the wrong place?" Hermes asked himself, recalling the place where he and Diana were supposed to meet.
"I'm here, Hermes!" Diana waved her hand, coming out from the bathroom, "Why are you so late anyway?"
"I.. I was.." Hermes couldn't continue, thinking of the reason to make for his lies.
Before Hermes even finished, Diana put her hand in Hermes's head.
"Are you seriously going to lie to me?" Diana questioned Hermes with a disappointed look, "You forgot about our promise, didn't you?"
"Yeah.. I'm sorry, Dia. [nickname for Diana]" Hermes replied quietly.
WIth a s***k at the back, Diana smiled at Hermes.
"It's fine, dummie. I finished it all since you came so~ so~ late!" Diana answered, "Let's just watch a movie since we got some time. You buy the tickets and the popcorn for an apology, deal?"
Diana's eyes glowed with happiness and sparked with cuteness.
"It's a deal," Hermes replied with a smile on his face.
January 16, 2021. Exactly 82 days until the first destruction, the 'Doom.'
