6 The birds began to call and I knew it was time for me to get up. While Tamsin was patient, she couldn’t abide lateness and I didn’t want to push that. I rolled out of bed and glanced around. No Tamsin here. Maybe she’d risen even earlier and made her way to the boxing ring. Throwing on my workout clothes, I resolved that was where I was heading and made my way down the stairs. Entering the empty bar, I knew without having to check that she wasn’t there. It was too quiet. Too still. There was one other place I could try.
