Chapter 3 Kyle grimaced in embarrassment when he caught himself singing along to the catchy, modern Christmas classic by that female singer with the whistle note that could probably break glass objects if she put her mind to it as he waited in line for his turn to pay for his groceries. He couldn’t help it. The song was playing everywhere, and it was on such a heavy rotation over the years, he had unconsciously memorized the lyrics several years ago.
