William Hannah was devastated as she took her bag and left the bar. She was going to find another job anyway.
William tried to follow her out, but she had run off.
Immediately Miss Titt came in and asked what had happened. The other bartender explained everything to her.
“Where is she?”, she asked angrily.
“She had already left ma”, Nikki concluded.
As he headed back inside the bar, Miss Titt went straight to him to apologize on her behalf.
Sir, I’m sorry for what happened. Hannah is a dedicated worker, she is not like that and she is even one of our best workers here.
William already felt guilty, he knew he was wrong and must have pushed her.
No worries, it’s fine, I was just too nosy, he said, and asked another for her name.
“Her name is Hannah, Sir.”
“Hannah Nelson”
As William drove home that night, he couldn’t help but think of Hannah. He wanted to find her and apologize.
The view from William John's luxurious penthouse offered a breathtaking sight of the city. The sparkling lights painted a magical picture before him. As he dressed himself in a dark blue suit and a vibrant red tie, William prepared to head to the office. Presently, he was known as the CEO of John Corporate, but once the company was officially handed over to him, he would become the director.
Parking his car in the company's driveway, William was warmly greeted by his personal assistant, James. Having served as his PA for nearly a decade, James was not just an assistant but also a close friend.
"Welcome back, James. How was your trip?" William asked as they walked towards the main building, preparing to enter the elevator.
"It was fine, Will. My parents send their greetings," James replied, accompanying William to the elevator.
Upon entering his office, William's secretary greeted him and handed him an iPad along with the day's schedule. "Welcome, sir. Here's your schedule for today," she said.
"Thank you, Miss Courtney," William acknowledged, letting out a deep sigh as he settled into his seat, adjusting his suit jacket.
"Okay, spill it, Will," James urged, noticing William's troubled demeanor. "I know something is bothering you. I know you."
"I'm in trouble," William admitted, a sense of relief washing over him as he let out a deep chuckle. However, he was unsure whether to laugh or worry at that moment.
"What happened?" James asked, intrigued.
"I might have told my mom that I'm engaged," William confessed, placing his hands on his head and raising his gaze to observe James' expression.
"Oh, for heaven's sake, Will!" James burst out laughing uncontrollably. "I can't believe it. I'm sorry, but I couldn't help it," he continued, still chuckling.
"What are you going to do about it?" James asked, now composed.
"I don't know, bro. I'm at a loss, and she wants to meet my fiancée," William replied, feeling a mixture of amusement and concern.
"Hmm," James pondered, settling on a couch in the office. "Maybe you should consider hiring someone to act as your fiancée," he suggested, observing William's reaction.
"You know, James, I always thought you were smart, but now I realize just how smart you are," William said, laughing genuinely.
"Yo!" James exclaimed, playfully tossing a pillow at William. "The problem now is where to find someone," William pondered.
"Bro, you're William John, for God's sake. Who are you kidding?" James retorted, leaning back on the couch with a chuckle. "Hey, I met this girl at a bar. I might have offended her, and she seemed like she was in desperate need of money," William exclaimed excitedly, as if he had won the lottery. "I need to find her."
"What happened between you two?" James asked curiously.
"That's a story for another day. Just help me find her. Her name is Hannah Nelson, and she works at 'Points Bar,'" William explained, eagerly awaiting James' response.
"Sure, I'll check it out.”
“ She might be the right person for the job. It seems she's in urgent need of money for her mother's treatment,"William replied.
"But it looks like you might have upset her, and she'll probably hate you now," James warned.
"Well, don't let her know it's me until she signs the contract," William remarked sarcastically.
"Sounds like a plan. I will look for her tomorrow , then," James concluded before leaving the office.
The next day, James went into the bar that evening hoping to find the bartender.
“Hi I’d like to speak with the manager”, James said, talking to no one in particular at the bar stand.
“Alright sir” the bartender said before going inside to call his manager.
“How can I help you sir”, the manager came in speaking
“I am James Harold”, James replied, extending a card towards her which read “James Harold and bore the logo of John corporation”
“My boss was here yesterday and felt insulted by a bartender
“That was Williams John?” Miss Titt asked rhetorically in an apologetic manner.
“I am very sorry.”I had already apologized to him, hope there is no problem?, she continued.
“Well, can I speak with her please” John asked.
“She hasn’t come in today.”
“What’s her name” James asked, interrupting Miss Titt.
“Hannah Nelson”…her name is Hannah Sir”
And just as they were talking, Hannah suddenly came in
“That’s her”
