SEBASTIAN Something was wrong. I could see it in her actions, the sharp way she moved, the way her eyes flickered with something close to anger when they landed on me. I could feel the irritation rolling off her in waves, almost suffocating. She was agitated, and I had a feeling it had something to do with me. But why? I couldn’t recall doing anything that would set her off. “Marie, could you get these printed? I need them immediately,” I said, eyes still on my laptop screen as I shuffled through files. “Okay,” she replied, her voice clipped before she turned and walked out of the room.
